Travelog, as I understand, is a fusion of two words travel + dialog, a conversation about ones travel. It also means travel + log, logging your travel into a journal or something. Because I dont want anything or anyone to be left out, Travelog with Jem (TwJ, read T with J) takes both definition.
Along with popular destinations, it is also the aim of TwJ to let everybody discover local destinations. A lot of people may have heard of places like Venice, Rome, Phuket, Boracay, El Nido, Barbados, etc, but there are also places probably in your local community where it is equally as breath-taking as the ones we see on magazine or watch on television. Thats what TwJ is most interested in.
I am a blogging enthusiast who finds cooking, traveling, and writing (aka blogging) absolutely passionate activities. When I was young, I would join student colporteur group or outreach ministries during summer vacation to get to places I, otherwise, would not have a chance to visit on my own. My first adventure took me to the now one of the 7 Wonders of Nature, Underground River in Palawan, Philippines. My next escapades brought me to Tabon Cave and Sombrero Island also in Palawan, I did this until I went to college which afforded me to visit most parts of Northern Philippines, all trips for free.
In 2001, I decided to broaden my horizon so I went to Thailand as a teacher. But because of language barrier, I failed to go around the country especially that I was to go on my own. However, I did see a few interesting places where my friends brought me like Pattaya, Phuket, Huahin, and Prachuap Kirikhan.
Seven years later, I was catapulted from Thailand to England when I agreed to marry my then boyfriend who is from Sicily. So now I am seeing a bit of Europe.
Middle east and Africa, youre up next. Yes, around the world, one place at a time
