Flights to and from London-Manila is now only 13 hours non-stop
Thank goodness, Philippine Airlines (PAL) is now flying to the UK again starting on November 4, 2013. This means a lot of things. Firstly and most importantly, flying time is now reduced to 13 hours, the fastest route from the Philippines to Europe. Other airlines would take from 20-35 hours including stopovers and refueling. That’s a lot of hours to save oneself from the weariness caused by long-haul flights. Secondly, PAL aircraft are very comfortable. Thirdly, holiday times is maximized because of the shorter travel time. I used to lose at least 2 days of my holidays because of the long travel time and now I would gain at least one day more. That’s really important.
Two days ago when I received a text from a travel agency, which I am not going to name here, with this message “Philippine Airlines direct flights to Manila… for £580” I didn’t quite understand it. I knew PAL don’t fly to Europe and I have not read it in the news that they have returned. The message just wouldn’t sink in. Then a day later, I received a newsletter from Philippine Airline themselves with the subject
“Fly to London Heathrow in Just 13 Hours Non-Stop”
And when I put the two messages together that’s when the reality struck me like a thunderbolt. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and sing “Hallelujah!”
At the moment they fly 5 days a week — Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
