• Travel accomplishments for 2015

Posted on January 22, 2016 by in Blog

I thought 2014 was my best traveled year but 2015 proved me wrong. Being unemployed for the first half of the year, I had no plan nor hope of outdoing 2014. Nevertheless, looking back, I was thrilled to find out that I have traveled more than I could have imagined. Thanks to the generosity of friends who made some of those trips possible.

I photographed A Romantic New Year Sunset in Hunstanton, Norfolk, courtesy of Paul McHenry. Enduring a freezing wind, I couldnt care less. All I wanted was to see the sun set on the beach.

Before the month ended, I got to meet a huge baby seal in Horsey, Norfolk and some mummy and daddy seals too. It was a bit late when I went so I didnt see many of pups but the one I saw made it up for all the ones I missed.

A blessing came when I got invited to join Pearly and her family on their trip to Wales leading me to discover at least 3 Things about Swansea.

I also got a chance to visit Brecon Beacon Showcaves, the pride of Wales.

For the third year in a row, I visited the Rododhendron in Bloom at Sheringham Park. It seems I can never get tired of coming to this place and dream of an Edenic home.

Out of the blue, I got an invitation for an interview in Thetford, Norfolk which led me to my discovery of The Priory Ruins and other interesting facts about this little market town.

Able to sustain my own trip this time, I traveled to Bristol alone to watch the International Balloon Festival and oh what a journey it has been!

Others may not consider it a travel adventure but for me it is in its own right when I went to attend an African prenuptial wedding party. The culture manifested in that event was more than enough to qualify it as a travel adventure. (Post coming soon)

Through the generosity of my neighbour Robert Maguire, I got to go on the London Eye at day and at night and discovered about the electronic saxophone. (Post coming soon)

The highlight of my 2015 trips came in a fashionable way when I and my former colleague jetted off to Southeast Asia visiting Phuket, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

Cant wait for my 2016 adventures. Heres a mini scope of what Im looking forward to.
